Exposición permanente de diversos objetos de la colección Profesor Gastón Soublette, Campus Oriente, Universidad Católica de Chile.

Esta colección reúne piezas de pueblos, etnias y Primeras Naciones que son parte fundamental del acervo de las sociedades contemporáneas de América, con un pasado que se remonta a épocas precolombinas. Objetos textiles, de arcilla, piedra y metal, son expresiones de diversas comunidades que, a través de sus conocimientos y saberes ancestrales, fueron dominando diferentes materialidades para representar sus concepciones de mundo en sus producciones de arte. Este patrimonio revela estéticas, modos de ver y técnicas de hacer que atraviesan épocas y territorios de este extenso continente.

This collection gathers pieces by different peoples, ethnicities, and First Nations that are fundamental to the heritage of contemporary American societies, going back to pre-Columbian times. Textile, clay, stone, and metal objects are expressions of a range of communities that, through their ancestral knowledge and wisdom, mastered certain materials to represent their world views through their artistic production. This patrimony reveals different aesthetics, ways of seeing, and techniques that traverse times and territories of this vast continent.
